What is binge eating disorder?

Scientists cannot yet explain the causes this condition, except they are in unison that it afflicts more women than men. They look into depression as a possible cause, but no conclusive findings yet.

The risk of developing this eating disorder also increases when a person is obese or overweight. Sufferers also experience mood swings.

What are the treatment options?

Most doctors will agree that it is not all willpower, but medications do help. If you or someone you know suffers from binge eating disorder, it would be better to seek treatment from a facility that specializes in these kinds of conditions.

Binge eating disorder is one of those afflictions that you need to nip in the bud before it gets out of hand. Help is always available, but you need to be willing to accept the assistance and address the condition.
