If you love styling and colouring your hair, then you know how painful it is to deal with frizzy hair. This is just as true for girls with curly hair as those with chemically-treated hair. Here’s how to properly use a styling hair cream and prevent getting frizzy hair.
1. Dry your hair with a cotton shirt instead.
If you do not have a silk towel, then you can use a cotton T-shirt to dry your hair instead. Regular towels can make your hair extra frizzy. Avoid rubbing your hair with it, as well as wrapping it around your head to make sure you won’t get frizzy tresses.
If you do not have any choice, then you can go ahead and use regular towels every once in a while — just make sure not to rub your hair with it. Instead, you can scrunch it up and down to make sure you get the extra water out.
2. Use the right products for your hair type.
There are hundreds of different hair products that are available in the market — the only problem is finding the right one for your hair type.
Make sure to do your research or ask your hairstylist about which products you should use. If your hair is sensitive to certain ingredients, then make sure to steer clear of those. Get a hair product that won’t be too heavy or thick, as this can only add to the frizz.
3. Steer clear of heat styling tools.
Avoid using heat styling tools as much as you can. Curling or straightening your hair with an iron every day can make it brittle and frizzy in the long run, which is why it is important to let your hair rest for as much as you can.
If you do have to use a heat styling tool, then at least use a heat protecting serum to make sure your hair is fully protected.
You have full control over your frizzy hair — all you have to do is be completely patient with it. Good luck with taming your tresses!
